Terms and conditions
Check in time is between 3:30pm and 6pm. If you will be arriving after 6pm please let us know so that we can arrange our evening accordingly. A set of keys will be issued when you register on arrival. Lost keys will be charged at £10 per set.
All rooms must be vacated by 10:30 am on the day of departure.
A deposit the equivalent of one night’s stay is required and is non-refundable within 6 weeks of arrival.
When you make your booking and we have received the required deposit a legally binding contract exists between us that is non-cancellable and non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances. In the event of a cancellation less than six weeks prior to your arrival date, you may still remain liable to pay in full or in part for the booking, even if you are unable to take your holiday. Even where you have not paid in full at the time of cancellation, you will remain liable for the full cost. If we succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance. If for some reason you do need to cancel, it is important that you tell us at the first opportunity so that we may attempt to re-let your room and minimise your loss. You should take out cancellation insurance to protect you against possible loss.
We will allow you to cancel your booking without penalty, but you must do so within 6 weeks of your first nights stay, in writing or by email to heachamhouse@gmail.com. We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation by return. Please do not consider your booking cancelled until you receive our confirmation.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation is unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would endeavour to find you alternative accommodation, if this were not possible or unacceptable to you, we will refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to guests' personal effects or property whilst staying at Heacham House. We appreciate that accidents do happen and request that we are notified as soon as possible of any breakage or damage in the room. Where items are damaged in a manner that is not through normal use, or items are stolen, then we will seek to reclaim the cost of replacement
There is a no smoking policy in the house. We reserve the right to seek compensation (including consequential loss) for any damage and additional costs of cleaning (such as curtains, blinds, bedding etc) caused by a guest 'smoking' within the property. Consequential costs may be incurred where it is not possible to remove the smell of smoke from the room prior to the arrival of the next guest who subsequently demands compensation from us.
Heacham House is unable to cater for animals (please enquire regarding registered assistance dogs).
We are unable to cater for children under 14 years of age.
